Our new contest starts today!!

The contest is called "Vintage Hearts". It's open to every member in any media, so that means photomanipulators, traditional artists, as well as photographers can participate. The due date is August 1st.


What do I mean by "Vintage Hearts"? Well, first, I didn't want to do another summer theme because we did that last year, and The-Heart
club is about the "heart", not about romance. "Vintage Hearts" was suggested by =rockgem,so I'm taking my interpretation of the theme to explain to you what is meant by "Vintage".

For the purpose of our contest, a vintage heart deviation is a heart in a design or photo that is antique looking,or what we can also describe as "retro", or "old looking".

Here are a few examples. All three are photomanipulations by =MaureenOlder, *Runewitch, and =thefantasim









Are you ready to put your thinking caps on and create something wonderful for the contest? Well, here are few things you need to know before we get started.


First of all, you must be a member to participate. If you're reading this and you're not a member, please read How To Join before you send in a JOIN note.


There will be prizes for First, Second and Third Place as decided in a ballot vote. If there is a tie, the staff will vote on their favorite.

The First Place Prize will be a small print or merchandise from either one of my art accounts, a personalized deviation, and a 6 month subscription.

Otherwise there's not much to the prizes right now, although many members have donated a journal feature. As soon as I have a few more donations, I'll announce add them and make a complete list.

Therefore, I'm still looking for other donations other than journal features. If you're able to donate a 3-month or 1-month subscription, or a small print or merchandise from your dA store, or anything that is not monetary like personalized stamp, ID, avatar, or a t-shirt design, or a stock pack, or a personalized deviation or CSS, or if you make any jewelry or clothing or other textiles, etc., let me know by sending me a note.
