New Contest: "Vintage Hearts"! !

How You're Being Judged:
This is a member "ballot" judged contest. Meaning, the members will send in a note to vote for their favorite. Members should look for a well executed and very creative deviation.

If there is a tie, I will make the final decision.



Let me give you some advice right now: If you create something that does not fit the definition of "vintage", it will be returned. For the purpose of our contest, a vintage heart deviation is a heart in a design or photo that is antique looking,or what we can also decsribe "retro", or "old looking".

I really don't care how much time it takes for you to create your deviation, it MUST look like a "vintage" design or photograph.


Prizes:
First Place=
6-month subscription, Personal Deviation and a Small Print or Merchandise, Exclusive Stock, and features


Second and Third Place prizes will be announced later so keep an eye on this page. There may be more prizes, such as features, IDs, stamps, dedication art, as donations come in from members.



Rules:

1. You must be a member of =The-Heart: club to enter. We invite anyone who loves hearts as much as we do to join us.

Please read how to join very carefully. A request for membership and being accepted is NOT automatic for this club. To find out how to join the club, go HERE .

2. All Art Medias and Styles of art are accepted including collage, photomanipulation, traditional art, digital art, photography, etc.

There is no rule as to how many hearts should be in the deviation, if the hearts should be a realistic rendering or the heart symbol, or if there should be people included or not; all of that is up to you. Just be VERY CREATIVE, And VERY DIFFERENT!.

2.A. Like it says above, be DIFFERENT! Since these deviations are going into our gallery, the gallery policy will be enforced. As it says in our Submissions rules,

"We will no longer except simple deviations that obviously did not take much thought, even if you think it did, or deviations of very poor quality...There are many deviations of heart clouds in the sky, hearts drawn in the sand...so if you've got one, it better be really different, or please do not submit it to our club. I'm warning you now, it will be rejected."

3. It has to be a new deviation, uploaded to deviantArt between June 28th and August 1st. As long as the Entry note is dated August 1st, it will be accepted.



To enter, send a note with CONTEST ENTRY in the subject line.



Since the entries will be uploaded to our gallery, the content of the note should include the necessary submission information. Please follow the submission procedures found HERE .

Entries with incomplete information will not be accepted and will be returned to the member!!


In your original deviation under Artist's Comments box, please include this statement with our avatar:
"An Entry In The "Vintage Hearts Contest" At The-Heart.


The entry note must be received and dated August 1st to be accepted. I will look for the last minute entries on the morning of August 2nd. Voting will begin August 3rd.
