We have THREE types of art competitions at The-Heart: A weekly poll to feature the favorite of the week; A monthly poll to recognize the best from the weekly winners; And, various theme contests that run through out the year. The Heart Of The Month and official theme contests are for prizes.

The Heart Of The Week is a weekly non-prize competition where our members and friends vote for the best heart shape deviation from a choice of five member deviations and five non-member deviations from our current favorites, or "Found Hearts".

This weekly mini-competition is to recognize creative and well executed heart deviations that need some well deserved attention. It is NOT a "contest" for the "absolute best deviation" and since members, friends and visitors are invited to vote, there is no telling what the outcome will be from week to week.

The ten nominations are selected by the staff and all media are considered from the submissions and favorites from the previous week.

Members who complain about a deviation in the poll or the out come of a vote risk being removed from the club and banned from entering the club's site.

The voting takes place each week between Thursday and Saturday, and the winner is announced on the front page on Sunday of the following week.

Once a deviant wins Heart Of The Week, they cannot be nominated again for a six month period.


The Heart Of The Month is a monthly small prize competition at the end of the month. The members vote for the best/favorite deviation from the monthly Heart of the Week winners. Once again, this competition is to give credit to deviants who need some attention here at dA, not for artists who already have many pageviews and favorites. Voting will run during the last three days of the month, the winning deviation will be featured on the first of the new month.

The 3-month subscription prize can be transfered to a dA friend if the winner.



From time to time we do have official theme contest with specifications that all of our members can enter.
