Who Are We?

The-Heart is a group promoting the graphic representations of the heart, be it in its physical, romantic, spiritual, or emotive state. Non-graphic work (such as poetry) may be considered if it concerns the heart itself, but The-Heart is not primarily concerned with the promotion of love poetry.

The-Heart club is not your regular theme club. The volunteers and friends work hard at promoting that lovely little organ that keeps us alive. We not only involve our members in activities, but we also invite the dA Community at large to get involved by helping us collect heart theme deviations, or "Found Hearts"; and we also include non-members in our various features and weekly polls. If you are a lover of the heart and you enjoy including heart shapes in your deviations, this club is right for you!

The Deuce of Hearts (=thefantasim) took over the head administrator position in January, 2007, and has really worked hard at structuring many important aspects of the club including maintaining the website, organizing activities for both members and non-members, and writing news articles. There are always other staff that have helped the Deuce, some have moved on and some continue to volunteer and help out with keeping things in order, and these helpers are always appreciated. All of the deviants involved in the club are dedicated to keeping The-Heart pumping! If you want to help out, just contact the Deuce and she'll put you to work!

HOW TO JOIN

Requesting to join is not an automatic acceptance. This club means a lot to me, and therefore I have been raising the bar on who I accept and who I do not accept into the club. I also want to be sure that you are really interested in being part of The-Heart, not just joining to enter a contest. Too many deviants join to enter a contest, do not win, and are never seen again. I want to put a stop to this type of behavior in our club.

Therefore, during non-contest periods, you only need one quality deviation that contains a heart shape in your gallery to be considered for the club.

However, if there is a contest in session, you MUST have at least three heart theme deviations in your gallery which should be submitted to the club at some time.

If you are declined for any reason it will be explained in the return join note. If you still want to be a member, simply modify your gallery accordingly and resubmit a JOIN note.

Sending a request to join the club is simple: Send a NOTE with the word JOIN in the subject line.


Please do this by clicking "SEND A NOTE" on the upper right hand side of our front page to send a formal deviant note.
Do Not post a message on the home page under "Devious Comments", or with the current journal, or under the Member's List, or in the ShoutBox. I do not check those messages on a regular basis and I may not see your request for days. Plus, I keep the notes, so I need one for my Join records.


After you have received a reply that you are a member, please add us to your DEVwatch and place our AVATAR or one of our STAMPS in your journal. Be sure to read the SUBMISSION PROCEDURES before you send in a submission or your note may be returned.
